Taken at Dusk

Step into Shadow Falls, a camp for teens with supernatural powers. Here friendship thrives, love takes you by surprise, and our hearts possess the greatest magic of all.

Kylie Galen wants the truth so badly she can taste it. The truth about who her real family is, the truth about which boy she’s meant to be with—and the truth about what her emerging powers mean. But she’s about to discover that some secrets can change your life forever…and not always for the better.

Just when she and Lucas are finally getting close, she learns that his pack has forbidden them from being together. Was it a mistake to pick him over Derek? And it’s not just romance troubling Kylie. An amnesia-stricken ghost is haunting her, delivering the frightful warning, someone lives and someone dies. As Kylie races to unravel the mystery and protect those she loves, she finally unlocks the truth about her supernatural identity, which is far different—and more astonishing—than she ever imagined.

This time around Kylie has a thing going with Lucas since Derek is away now. Yea I know, she gets a chance at both hot boys without committing. But it seems like right when she decides she is going to commit something stops them, this time Lucas asks but is pulled away before she can answer.

Kylie is now haunted by a ghost of a woman that can’t remember who she is or what happened to her. She tries really hard to find out who she is and what happened to her, so much so that she decides to go to the local cemetery since that is where she showed up when Kylie was being dropped off back at camp.

Kylie meets her grandparents only to find out that they might not be her grandparents. Everyone thinks that the guy, Mario and Red, hired them to get close to her so that they can attempt to kidnap her again. Which just scares her but she is more scared about what happened to the elderly couple.

When Derek comes back to town, he brings another vamp with him and while Ellie seemed genuinely nice to Kylie. Kylie can’t help but get jealous when she finds out that they hooked up. But really what girl wouldn’t be if they liked the guy. Basically someone dies, Derek drops a huge bomb on her, Lucas is ridiculously protective, Daniel finds out what they are because of the ghost that she was helping, Red ends up not being as evil as she thought and Kylie doesn’t really know what to do with everything. Not to mention she recognizes her newest ghost at the end but then the book ends so I guess we will find out who it is next book.

I gave this book 5 out of 5.
