Tiger’s Voyage by Colleen Houck (The Tiger Saga #3)

With the head-to-head battle against the villainous Lokesh behind her, Kelsey confronts a new heartbreak: in the wake of his traumatic experience, her beloved Ren no longer remembers who she is. As the trio continues their quest by challenging five cunning and duplicitous dragons, Ren and Kishan once more vie for her affections–leaving Kelsey more confused than ever. From Goodreads.

I can’t get enough of Colleen’s books. I just reread this series because the 4th book just came out and I wanted to refresh my memory. Let me tell you I was way way more Team Kishan in this book because he was kind and willing to give up his own happiness to let Kelsey be happy with Ren. But the second Ren gets scared for her, he dumps her harshly.

I couldn’t stop crying throughout the book, when Ren put up hundreds of wishes for them to be together, for him to remember her, for everything I thought I was going to swoon. I get that Ren does the elaborate romantic gestures but Kishan did the little things like just being there for her when she needed him.

I still absolutely adore Phet and Kadam. Kadam with his almost all knowing self, he honestly seems to know everything about everything. At the same time he has been around for almost 400 years. And Phet, what a sweet old man who seems to love Kelsey very much.

This time around they dealt with dragons and Krakens and giant dinosaur sharks. Yea I said giant dinosaur sharks because that is the best way to describe it. I mean the thing was bigger than Jaws, based on the book. They got the Black Pearl Necklace after their quests with the mermaids and dragons.

Once again, I won’t go too much into detail because like I said, this series is definitely worth the read and you know you want to know what happens before Tiger’s Dream comes out sometime next year. This happens to be the last book of the series and makes me quite sad to see it go but I still have the books to read luckily.

I gave this book 6 out of 5 stars!!!

Tiger’s Quest by Colleen Houck (The Tiger Saga #2)

Tiger’s Quest by Colleen Houck (Tiger’s Saga #2)

Back in Oregon, Kelsey tries to pick up the pieces of her life and push aside her feelings for Ren. But danger lurks around the corner, forcing her to return to India where she embarks on a second quest–this time with Ren’s dark, bad-boy brother Kishan, who has also fallen prey to the Tiger’s Curse. Fraught with danger, spellbinding dreams, and choices of the heart, TIGER’S QUEST brings the trio one step closer to breaking the spell that binds them. From Goodreads.

This is the second book in the series by Colleen Houck and it definitely didn’t disappoint me. It starts with Kelsey heading back to Oregon with Nilima. Once there she finds out that she has been compensated extremely well by whom she thinks is Mr. Kadam, of course she eventually finds out that it was Ren who bought the house, set up school and everything for her. Which was great and all but she was a little upset about all the things that he bought for her.

She tried so hard to move on in her life, I felt like she didn’t want to mope around because she wasn’t with Ren. So she started dating, of course her first date wasn’t exactly planned. He kind of just told her it was a date. Out of the three guys that she dated, I really like Li. He was such a sweetheart. Too bad her heart was already given away. Luckily Ren came to Oregon for Christmas.

I loved that he made her date not only him but Li and Jason. I also loved that he left notes about how much he loved her. I was surprised she lasted as long as she did without breaking up with the other 2 boys. Eventually she realized what a mistake she was making. This all happened in the beginning of the book. Kishan is asked to come to protect Kelsey with Ren because a picture got out with her name on it just in case Lokesh finds out where she is.

Now I know almost everyone is a Ren fan and want him and Kelsey to be together but honestly, I think I am a Kishan fan. Not only was he willing to do anything to make her happy, he would have gladly swapped positions with Ren to keep her happy. Not many guys would be willing to go through torture to keep a girl happy with another guy. So if you have read this book you know that Ren got taken by Lokesh and it about broke Kelsey.

When back in India they decided to look for the next gift from Durga to help break the curse but also to find out where Ren could possibly be. This time Kishan and Kelsey go through with it. They end up having to climb part of Mount Everest! At least she can say she climbed a portion of it before she dies. She is attacked by a bear and is dying when they find the Spirit Gate and end up in a paradise.  There they meet up with tree nymphs and Kishan sees not only the future but also something with Kelsey that makes him beyond happy.

They end up going through a lot of really hard “houses” to get the scarf. Once they go through the Iron birds and are safe, Kelsey dreams of Ren and tell him to do whatever he has too to stay alive and he does. Of course she doesn’t know what that entails, she doesn’t realize the consequences.

Now I am not going to tell you much more than what I have because I definitely recommend that you read this series, it is my favorite like I have said before. This was a great read. There was action, adventure, love, heartbreak, torture, and secrets.

I gave this book 6 out of 5 stars!

Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck (Tigers Saga #1)

Tigers Curse by Colleen Houck (Tigers Saga #1)

Passion. Fate. Loyalty.

Would you risk it all to change your destiny?

The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more. From Goodreads.

I can honestly say that this series of books are my absolute favorite. I can reread these books and never get bored with them (and I have read this book now 5 times!!). I just can’t get enough of the books. I felt that Kelsey was an amazing character. Throughout the book she grew as a person, you could see her falling in love and everything.

I loved that the beginning of the book we learned why Kelsey was the way she was, how she kept more to herself and preferred books to people basically. I know I usually prefer books to people as well but I like being around people as well. I thought it was really cute that she wanted Ren the tiger to be free and that she would read to him at night. You could see the relationship form even though it seemed like an impossible but it was really endearing.

Once she met with Kadam and decided to head toward India, you could see how close she was getting to Kadam and Ren. After being left behind, or so she thinks, and traversing through the jungle with Ren, she meets Phet. Who I absolutely loved, he was funny and kind and a little crazy. And she learned about the curse that was placed on the two princes of India. Actually she didn’t realize that it was both princes.

I could sit and read this book over and over again because I love it so much; I just felt that Kelsey needed to learn where her heart sat and why. I understood why she gave Ren the chance that he needed to have especially since they broke a part of the curse and he got 6 hours back of being a man instead of tiger. I am sure most would do the same thing even if it broke their heart.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I am definitely going to be upset when this series ends but I am sure that Colleen will come out with something just as awesome as these books.

I gave this book 6 out of 5 stars!!!
